Top 6 TV Shows this Fall

So there are a lot of different new TV shows that is coming on this fall. I really don't get into a series but these shows are so interesting. I am really getting into them and that hardly happens. Below are 6 TV shows that I am loving right now. Comment below if you have seen any of these or if you will be watching them.

1) This Is Us- Jack and his wife - who is very pregnant with triplets -- have just moved into their new home in Pittsburgh. Successful and handsome television actor Kevin is growing increasingly bored with his bachelor lifestyle. Randall -- who was abandoned at a fire station by his father as an infant -- is a stylish New York-based businessman working to raise two daughters with his wife, Beth. These people are among a group -- several of whom share a birthday -- of seemingly random individuals whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways.

I absolutely love this show. I didn't think I was going to be into it as much as I am. I saw the previews for it and thought it was interesting. I mainly started watching it because of the actor that plays Kevin. He used to play Adam from The Young and the Restless so I wanted to see how he would do in a drama instead of a soap opera. Also, who isn't a Mandy Moore fan? She is doing amazing in this show. The first episode was weird because I didn't get it until I realized that they were adding a flashback. I really suggest that you watch this show.

2) Designated Survivor- As a lower-level cabinet member, Tom Kirkman never imagined something would happen that would catapult him to the oval office. When a devastating attack on the night of the State of the Union address claims the lives of the president and most of the Cabinet, the Housing and Urban Development secretary -- who was named the designated survivor in case of such an event -- finds himself promoted to leader of the free world. Suddenly thrust into his new position of power, Kirkman struggles to keep the country from dissolving into chaos and must adjust to his new normal, unaware of what fresh horrors may await the United States.

This was one of the shows that I was looking forward to the most. I am not normally a history drama fan but something drew me into this show. I was hooked at the beginning. If you are a history buff, you will love this show. Even if you aren't one, you will love it.

3) Scorpion- Eccentric genius Walter O'Brien leads a group of brilliant misfits who constitute Homeland Security's new think tank, helping defend against the high-tech threats of the computer age. The team -- dubbed Scorpion -- includes behaviorist Toby Curtis, mechanical prodigy Happy Quinn, and statistics guru Sylvester Dodd. While comfortable with one another, the team members struggle with understanding life outside their circle, so when they need help translating societal cues, they rely on the skills of Paige Dineen, a woman with a gifted young son.

This show isn't new but I had to add it. It just started a new season and I am so happy. I didn't hear about this show until my brothers became obsessed with it then they got me started watching it. It is good.

4) Pitch- Talented baseball pitcher Ginny Baker immediately rises to fame when she is called up by the San Diego Padres and becomes the first woman in Major League Baseball. She immediately sets in on the task of proving herself to her teammates, starting with team captain and catcher Mike Lawson. The two share an immediate chemistry, putting Mike in the middle of tensions between the beautiful new player and certain teammates who don't appreciate a woman out on the mound. Not all of her fellow Padres are so averse to change, with center fielder Blip Sanders providing support through her journey.

I didn't know if I was going to like this one when it first started but I did. I like watching baseball TV shows but i'm not obsessed with them. I started watching it because one of my guy friends is obsessed with baseball so we talk about it. I really do like this show. The beginning was confusing and it wasn't until the end of the first episode that the beginning made sense.

5) Gotham- Jim Gordon is a rising detective in corrupt Gotham City, where his late father was a successful district attorney. Brave, honest and determined to prove himself, Jim hopes to return the city to the glamorous, purer version he remembers as a child. He and his partner, legendary Detective Harvey Bullock, must navigate the dirty politics of Gotham's justice system, even as they tackle a high-profile case, the murder of billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne. Gordon becomes a friend to their young orphan, Bruce.

I found this show on Netflix and started watching it. I binged watched it so I could catch up for the new season. It is really good and tells the story of Batman from the beginning. This was an on-the-whim show that I started watching. It was one of those late nights where I wanted something to watch.

6) Supernatural- This haunting series follows the thrilling yet terrifying journeys of Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who face an increasingly sinister landscape as they hunt monsters. After losing their mother to a supernatural force, the brothers were raised by their father as soldiers who track mysterious and demonic creatures. Violent memories and relationship-threatening secrets add additional burdens on Sam and Dean as they investigate all things that go bump in the night. As old tricks and tools are rendered useless and friends betray them, the brothers must rely on each other as they encounter new enemies.

I actually started watching this show because it was on at the college that I attended. One of the Ambassadors got me hooked and I binged watched it so I would be caught up for the new season. I really love this show right now.

1st Day of Fall

Today is the 1st day of fall. And it was 90 degrees outside. I love fall weather. It may be because I'm a fall baby. But I love the cooler weather. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving. September through December is some of my favorite months. It is beautiful outside plus its football season. Football season is one of my favorite time of the year. This fall is going to be amazing. I can just feel it. The leaves are turning colors and falling. The weather is cooler and it's perfect weather to dress cute and not sweat. Fall is just a wonderful time.

At the end of September is my alumni high school's Homecoming and I am going to the game. Homecoming is one of my favorite times because my school and community gets together and has fun.

October is going to be a busy month. I am starting a new term in school. My youth pastor's wedding. Church fall festival is at the end of the month. Halloween is also in this month.

November is one of my favorite months. I turn 21 on the 10th. Thanksgiving and Black Friday is coming up. Alabama versus Auburn game and other games.

Another reason I am excited about fall is because of the new tv series that have started. Below are my top three series that have started:

1) Designated Survivor
2) This Is Us
3) Pitch

All of those shows are absolutely amazing. I really like them. They just started but I am excited for them.

You are always learning.

Hi, guys!

Sorry, I haven't been writing that often these past couple of weeks. College classes have started again and I have been really busy. In addition to our assignments and assessments, we have to complete a certain amount of observation hours in a classroom. I had to do 32 hours in total. I love it! It is boring but i'm learning a lot. Below I will explain some of the things I have observed and learned from the classrooms.

I had to do 2 hours in a K-1-2 classroom. I got put into a Kindergarten classroom. It was fun. I am used to Kindergarteners because I teach an arts and crafts class for Vacation Bible School and I love it but I don't think I can teach them all the time. I learned some classroom management skills that I can use when I start teaching.

I then had to do 2 hours in a 3-4-5 classroom. I was placed in a 4th grade English class. I liked it. I learned some classroom management skills and things I can do in my future classroom. It's interesting what I learned from sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher teach.

My favorite observations was at a local middle school. I had never been to that middle school before but once I walked through the door, I fell in love. The middle school is an at-risk school. It is the type of school that if you teach there for 5 years, your loans will be paid off. That wasn't what drawn me to the school. I loved the atmosphere of it. The faculty and staff loved the students. They wanted them to succeed.

Two of my hours had to be in a collaborative classroom. Collaborative education is when special education kids are in the same classroom as general education kids. The collaborative education teacher is in the classroom to help them if they need it but they are still being taught by a general education teacher. I loved it. I spent an hour in the teacher's classroom just talking to her since she had no students. I learned a lot from her. I learned some teaching methods to use if I have a collaborative student in my classroom. I then spent an hour in the general education class with her. It was interesting to see how it worked. Special needs kids hold a special place in my heart anyway. Before I decided on being an English teacher, I thought about teaching special needs kids. It still passes through my mind but I don't know if I can handle seeing them like that every day.

I spent 26 hours in a 6th grade English class. I loved it. My teacher was amazing. She loved her students and her job. She wanted to be a teacher. You could see that she loves being at the school. I also developed a pretty good relationship with her. I realized after watching her and her classroom that I made a good choice.

I really wouldn't change my major for anything. These observation hours have shown me that teaching is what I want to do. I want to do some of the same things as the teachers I observed.

Remembering 9/11

On September 11, 2001, I was at school like any other day. I remember that we were about to lay down for our naps when a teacher ran into the room and told my Kindergarten teacher to turn the news on. We didn't get our nap that day because we were watching the news and seeing what was happening. I remember that my teacher was shaking and scared. I remember seeing the bodies and smoke no realizing what was happening. It wasn't until several years later that I realize what happened. The impact that event had on the United States. 9/11 was a big day at the schools I attended. In middle and high school, we would watch videos about it in history class and talk about it. We would imagine what the families and the people went through. Hearing the phone calls that the people made to their families broke my heart. I couldn't imagine what was going through their minds when they found out that their plane was being hijacked. As I grew older, the videos showed more. They showed people jumping out of the Twin Towers and the screams and blood. They made you cry because of how violent they were.

When I was a library aide, we would pull up 9/11 information up on the computers and set out books and materials for people to read. The librarian and I would listen to the memorial ceremonies on the computers. We honored the people that lost their lives that awful day. We remembered the innocent people that were a work or on the plane heading home. The people in the Twin Towers didn't know that that was their last day. They were going to work to support their families.

As I grew older, I heard about a guy that was from my hometown that was on the plane that crashed into the Twin Towers. He was headed to either Chicago or New York for a job interview. He called his mom and dad before he hit the towers. He told them that his plane had been hijacked and he was going to die. He told them that he loved them. I can't imagine what his parents or he was thinking. His parents visited New York for several years on the anniversary of 9/11 to visit the tribute. And today they are all together in Heaven celebrating.

It's hard to believe that the Freshman in high schools around the world wasn't even born yet. They didn't experience 9/11 like the rest of us did. They are hearing about it in schools and on tv while the rest of us experienced it on the day.

Today is set aside as a day of remembrance. We remember the lives that were lost on this day 15 years ago. A day that changed our lives forever. A day where we remember the heroes that risked their lives. Firefighters, police officers, first responders, and people that rushed into the buildings. We also remember the people in the Twin Towers that did not make it out. The people on the planes that tried to stop the hijackers before they did more damage. I pray for the families that were impacted.

Random Thoughts

Hi, guys!

Sorry, I haven't posted a blog post in the past couple of days. I have been really busy with school and life. I know that isn't an excuse but it's the truth. I also haven't been able to come up with anything. I have several ideas in my head but I can't write them down to form a post. There is one idea, in particular, I am hoping I can write about and that should be posted this weekend maybe.

Here is an update on what is going on in my life.

I am starting to do my field experience hours for my classes. I will write a post about this in another post later on. If you didn't know, I am wanting to become teacher so the education classes I am in right now requires us to go to a school for a couple hours and observe the teachers and write down what we learned.

Football has happened! Friday night high school football, college football, and NFL. My Saturdays are basically planned around the Alabama game. Football also signals the start of fall, my favorite month. Football also leads to Homecoming, which is one of my favorite events my town holds. I get to see all of my former classmates.

I am going to start writing a lot more blog post. I know I have said it before but I am. I have several that have been started and need finishing. If you need any ideas, let me know. If there is a topic you want me to cover, let me know.

I made friends in my classes. I was afraid that I wouldn't get to know anyone and I did. We have been talking and asking questions about the different classes and requirements.

Nothing interesting has been happening in my life really. It's just basic. I basically go to school, church, field experience, and home.

I just wanted to get on here and post an update for y'all.
