Update

Sorry, I haven't posted in about 2 weeks. Life has been crazy. I started back to school again and I also started subbing. So when I am not at college, I am subbing. I also have an online class that I am juggling.

I am going to start posting more. During the weekends or days that I am not in class or subbing, I am going to get post wrote up and ready to post when I need them. I also carry a journal with me so I am going to write them in that too.

I have a post that will hopefully be posted tomorrow. If not, it will be posted before the weekend is over with.

I am so sorry that I haven't been posting. I have missed it so much but my schedule doesn't allow it anymore. But I will be posting more. Even if it is a little update.

I will see y'all coming up with a new blog post. I hope y'all enjoy it. And I hope y'all enjoy the rest of your night or your morning. I love y'all!

We Are.... BETTER TOGETHER

We Are....

Better Together

"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." -Ephesians 3:14-19

Being alone isn't good for you but sometimes it isn't easy to find friends. I have found that problem several times especially when I switch schools or colleges. It is even harder for people to find the right friends.

Life is so much greater when we have someone to share it with. And that is why people jump into relationships. They feel lonely and just wants someone to share life with.

Life is better when we have someone to share it with. But it's important that we find good friends that we can share life with. Friends that build us up when we are feeling down and friends that encourage our walk with God. If we don't find others that make us better we end up missing what we are supposed to become.

We should surround ourselves with the right relationships. People that build us up and help us grow in our relationship with God. It's time that you really stop and look at who your friends are. Are they the type of friends that help you build a relationship with God? Do they encourage you? If then don't, I would evaluate the relationship/friendship.

God's people get better when God's people get together.

We Are.... READY

We Are.....

Ready

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" Ephesians 2:10

Have you ever felt not ready or prepared for something? Everyone has probably had this feeling once in a while. Maybe one morning in class you remember that you have a test so you try to hurry and cram information inside your brain. Or an emergency happens and you are not ready for it.

No one likes the feeling of not being prepared. I know that I don't. We all want to ready to succeed in life and that is wonderful but we really don't know what is going to come up. Only God knows. I know there has been moments in my life where something hasn't happened the way that I wanted it to be.

It is so difficult to be patient when all we want is things to go our way or faster. We can also be discouraged when we have to face obstacles. During all of this, we start discovering who we really are.

We are God's masterpiece and when we understand who WE ARE and what we are here for it collides with God's preparation for us. We end up living the satisfying life that God has for us. Isn't that amazing.

Are you ready to live the life that God wants you to live? I know that I am. I am ready to be the person that he wants me to be.

When I believe what God says about me, i'll be READY for what God has READY for me.

We love great stories

We each have a story. The story that we have may be wonderful or it may be bad but it is our story. But how do we want our story to be like? Do we want it to be glorifying God or being disobedient to Him? We all want an epic story. But how do I get God into my story? This verse stands out to me.

Matthew 6:9-15
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

How do I get into God's story? It's simple. Just turn your life over to Him.

"God will you let me in your story. I'll trade a starring role in the tiny story of me for the supporting role you want to give me in the epic story of you."

Every great story has a hero. And so does our's. It has I AM in it. We are the main characters in his story while He is the creator. He is the creator and hero in our story. That is amazing.

Exodus 3:1-7, 10-14

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, “Moses! Moses!”And Moses said, “Here I am.”“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[b] will worship God on this mountain.13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

The most important thing about me is I AM.

I am I AM'S!

What if you were convinced that I AM is in your story?

Because He is in our story. He created our story. Isn't that neat?

What insecurity would you let go of?
- not being good enough
- skinny enough
-not smart enough
-not pretty enough

What excuses would you stop making?
-I'm tired
-tomorrow I will do it

What sin would you stop doing?
-lust
-stealing
-porn

John 1:43-51

43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.”
44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
46 “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.
“Come and see,” said Philip.
47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”
48 “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.
Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.”
49 Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”
50 Jesus said, “You believe[a] because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” 51 He then added, “Very truly I tell you,[b] you[c] will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’[d] the Son of Man.”
All of these things are related to each other. Which one do you want?

The story you want to tell...
The story you do tell....

Where you are and where you want to be...

What you could do and what you did....

Jesus tells us to follow him. And we should.

There is a connection between then and now. They are related.

The decisions you make today tell the story of tomorrow. Do you want the story to be good or bad?

What is the next step? What do you do now?

What decision is in front of you right now? Is it a good one or bad one?

In the middle of our world falling apart, Jesus Christ is enough. He is always there for us no matter what. Even if our world is falling apart, He is there.

When we pray we discover we have access to God who holds everything together. And that is amazing!

Sometimes we have to get on our knees and keep flinging rocks to God to get his attention.

When our story doesn't go the way we want, God was in our life.

My hope for 2017

Hi, guys. Welcome. This is my first post for 2017! I am so excited for this year.

This post is going to be different. I haven't done a post like before so it's going to be great. I am going to be writing down some of my hopes for 2017. And writing them down will allow me to remember them and come back to them later on in the year. My hopes will be focused on myself, God, school, and personal stuff.

This post is going to be amazing to come back to at the end of the year to see how much I have grown throughout the year. And I will be able to see what I have accomplished throughout the year.

My 1st hope for 2017: is that I focus on myself this year. My happiness will be placed first. If it doesn't make me happy or help myself grow, I am not going to focus on it.

My 2nd hope for 2017: grow more into God's word. I will spend more time praying and reading God's word more. I will be spending more time with Him and just grow more in my faith.

My 3rd hope for 2017: lose weight and get healthier. I hope that by the end of this year, I am healthier and I lose weight. It isn't going to be easy but I am determined.

My 4th hope for 2017: no more temporary people. Don't be afraid of cutting people off that aren't good for you. I will not focus on people that are going to be temporary. And if I have people in my life that become toxic, I will cut them off.

My 5th hope for 2017: chase your dreams, cause if you never try you never know. I will chase my dream as far as I can. I will try things that I have never tried before. I may fail but it is worth trying.

The second part of this blog is going to dedicated to what I hope 2017 will bring.

I hope 2017 will bring:

  • fresh opportunities
  • new experiences
  • amazing friendships
  • peace and relaxation
  • revival
  • unbelievable growth
  • me closer to God and able to share His love with other people

2017 is going to be the best year! And I am so excited to share the experiences of this year with you. It may only be the third of the new year but it has been amazing so far.
